ABOUT CAROLE
Carole Brungar is a New Zealand multi-award-winning author whose novels have attracted international acclaim. She published her first book in 2014, has gone on to self-publish nine more novels, and is currently working on three more.
Brungar writes love stories set in the 20th Century and contemporary romance. She is best known for her powerful, gritty, and authentic Vietnam series, which evokes and disturbs the readers. These books have won numerous awards and medals and have been highly praised by veterans in America, Australia, and New Zealand. The Nam Legacy spent seven weeks in the top ten of the NZ Bestsellers list.
With a Bachelor of Communication, Brungar has worked as a communications officer for a city council, a newspaper editor for the New Zealand Defence Force, a journalist and a photographer. In a previous life, she was a national quilt tutor and was one of the first artists in New Zealand to teach mixed media classes via the Internet.
Her hobbies include reading, movies, gardening, travelling, climbing sand hills and catching up with friends and family. She lives in the Horowhenua town of Levin in a small cottage on what was an air force runway.
